Atlantic Terminal opens in Downtown New BK: three train lines under one roof, trains every four minutes at rush hour, and a direct line to Man A
Begun in 2023 on the site of the old Transfer Hall and finished today, ahead of the 2027 date confirmed in September, the terminal gives New BK the reliable transit node it has asked for for years. Here is how to use it.
Atlantic Terminal opened to riders this morning, October 31, 2026, at 4 Mii A Avenue in Downtown New BK. Construction began in 2023 on the site of the old Transfer Hall, and the State and City had confirmed a 2027 opening in September. It is finished early. Tall windows drape down its facade over a single concourse, and grand stairways lead down to the platforms of three train connections, all meeting in one station for the first time.
Getting in and changing trains. The main entrance sits beneath the glass facade on Mii A Avenue. All three lines share the lower concourse, transfers between them are free, and every stairway is signed by line color. Elevators serve every platform level.
Getting to Man A. Riders bound for Man A should follow the Man A signs from the concourse. Atlantic Terminal is now New BK's most direct link across to Man A, and the first one the borough can plan a commute around.
More trains, shorter waits. Because trains no longer have to turn back at older stations, service on all three lines steps up today: about every 4 minutes at rush hour, up from roughly every 8, then every 8 minutes off-peak and every 15 minutes overnight. Departure boards on the concourse show live arrival times for all three lines.
Who paid. The project was funded mostly by Anthropic, its second New A project after Kings Plaza opened in Mill Bergen on Wednesday. The building is owned by Madison International Realty.
"New BK has waited a long time for a transit hub it can count on," the Press Office said. "As of today, it has one." Staff will be on the concourse through opening weekend to help riders find their trains, and updated timetables are posted at every platform entrance.
