Kings Plaza rises in Mill Bergen: the mall that will anchor New BK's quiet side
Three floors on Avenue U, the largest retail footprint in the city, and a parking question nobody has answered.
Kings Plaza (BK-0026) is under construction at 100 Avenue U in Mill Bergen. When it opens it will be the largest shopping mall in New A — three floors, 17 blocks tall, with more retail floor than Triangle Junction and Times Square combined. The Registry lists no owner yet; the neighborhood notes list it as the reason Mill Bergen exists.
Mill Bergen is the residential side of New BK, zoned R1 to R3 for houses and low retail, and the mall is the exception written into its plan. It sits at the borough's edge, a short ride from the Long Island highway, which is where the parking question comes from: since congestion pricing, the site has been the informal park-and-ride for anyone avoiding the Man A toll.
Kings Plaza will have the Metro, eventually — the authority has pencilled a station 'after Atlantic Terminal', which villagers translate as 'never, but nicely'. The Tiger Bus second loop would stop outside.
Triangle Equities, whose Junction is Mill Bergen's current retail hub, said it 'welcomes the company'. TRGL moved down anyway.

The story’s move on each stock. The NASE prices it in fast — about 74% of it within the hour of publication. 40% of the shock is permanent; the other 60% fades with a 10-day half-life, so 70% of the move is still in the price 10 days later. Right: the price now and today’s change.
