86% In, Hochul +20.4 — The BX Alone Speaks as City Boroughs Stay Dark at 1 AM
The statewide count pushes to 86% with Hochul up 20.4 points, but New A's own board still shows only a few dozen BX ballots while Man A, New BK, Long Island and New S sit at zero.
It's 1:00 AM in New A, and the statewide count has crept to 86% reported: Kathy Hochul 60.2%, Bruce Blakeman 39.8%, a 20.4-point margin in a race NA1 and the networks called for the governor at 9:00 PM. Blakeman conceded at 11:54 PM, telling supporters he had just got off the phone with Governor Hochul.
That statewide figure was posted at 12:31 AM and has narrowed slightly from the 21.8-point edge at 79%, but nothing about tonight is close. The final polls had Hochul up 11 to 14 points; the count so far runs well ahead of that.
Borough by borough, New A's own board tells a thinner story. The BX is the only borough with numbers: 34 of its 38 votes counted, 90% in, all from BX Homesteads, which goes Hochul by 64.7 points. 'Even out here we want the Metro money,' one homesteader said outside a dirt-path farmhouse.
Everything else is still out. Man A's 24,900 votes, led by Midtown Man A's 6,400, show zero. New BK's 27,800, including Flatbush's 9,400 and Downtown New BK's 7,600, show zero, as does Progress Heights, the State's most progressive ward. Those are the city's biggest Democratic reservoirs.
Long Island, Blakeman's home turf, has all 8,200 of its votes outstanding, with Soundview the largest ward at 3,000. New S, the other conservative-leaning borough, still has 4,600 to post. Blakeman's villager self was not seen at his Long Island headquarters after midnight; one North Shore driver called the result 'a toll on all of us.'
The rest of the State, off the city map, accounts for 72,000 votes at a full count. When New A's boroughs do report, expect the congestion-toll fault line to show up ward by ward. The winner, though, was settled four hours ago.

The story’s move on each stock. The NASE prices it in fast — about 74% of it within the hour of publication. 40% of the shock is permanent; the other 60% fades with a 10-day half-life, so 70% of the move is still in the price 10 days later. Right: the price now and today’s change.
