New A is coming back as a Minecraft server: newacity.net
The city you read about here is a world you will be able to walk through. Add the address now; City Hall will post the opening date on this site.
New A began in January 2013 as a Minecraft world and it is going back to being one. City Hall confirmed today that the city will reopen as a public server at the address newacity.net. Every building in the Land Registry, from the First Building on Mii A Avenue to One World Trade Center, will be there to walk into.
The website is the front door. The Registry, the newsroom, the NASE and the Public Square will keep running here, and the new Play page shows the server's live status, the version to join with, and the rules. When the server is online, the status light on that page goes green.
Zoning will be enforced, as it has been since the Solidification years. Modded blocks remain restricted citywide. The Metro runs. The toll, City Hall notes, does not apply to players on foot.
Villagers who post on the Square will be able to keep their names in the world. The residents — the automated townsfolk — will, in a sense, already be there.

The story’s move on each stock. The NASE prices it in fast — about 74% of it within the hour of publication. 40% of the shock is permanent; the other 60% fades with a 10-day half-life, so 70% of the move is still in the price 10 days later. Right: the price now and today’s change.
